The University of Arizona Badminton Club is proud to announce our upcoming annual Aileen Primero Memorial Tournament!

Events:  MS, WS, MD, WD, XD, Under 16 Singles

DEADLINES

Entry deadline: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 11:59 PM (GMT -07:00)

Entry Fee: $40 for 1 event, $45 for 2 events, $50 for 3 events

U16 Entry Fee: $20 for 1 event, $25 for 2 events, $30 for 3 events (must enter into the U16 event to be eligible for U16 pricing)

*The site automatically calculates price by # of events, so it will tell U16 players that they need to pay the adult price. Please disregard that auto-calculation if playing U16.

Note: Payment is required BEFORE the event. If you do not pay fees by the deadline, you will be removed from the event. Online payments are available for your convenience. If you have any financial concerns, please email us! We would be happy to work something out (uazbadminton@gmail.com).

KEEP IN MIND:

  • New Tournament Regulation for Minors: In compliance with University of Arizona regulations, any participant who is a minor (under 18 years of age) must have a parent or legal guardian present with them during the tournament. Furthermore, the parent or legal guardian may be required to sign an official liability waiver in person on the day of the tournament registration/check-in. Failure to meet both the mandatory supervision and the in-person waiver requirements will result in the minor being ineligible to compete.   • We have implemented event caps (limited entries for some events)
    • Men’s singles and doubles: 26 entries 
    • Women’s singles and doubles: 16 entries
    • Mixed doubles: 32 entries
  • All Men’s events are OPEN to all genders
    • Women who sign up for men’s events cannot play the equivalent women’s event due to time constraints
  • Each player can sign up for 3 events maximum
  • If you do not show up within 10 minutes of your game being called, it will be an automatic forfeit!
    • There will be no exceptions in the interest of keeping the tournament timely. This means, if you expect to be late to the tournament due to travel or other extraneous circumstances, the volunteers will not wait to call your games. Exceptions will only be made for last minute, health-related circumstances.

  • VOLUNTEERS: if you/someone you know cannot play in the tournament but would like to be a volunteer please fill out and/or share this google form. 
  • Volunteers DO NOT need to be there for the entire duration of the tournament. More information about volunteering tasks can be found on the google form. We appreciate the willingness and hard work of all our volunteers!
  • LingMei 90 Shuttles, lunch, snacks, and refreshments are included for all players and volunteers 🙂
