UABC Beginner Training Sign Up Form 2026

DATES:

  • Fridays: September 25, October 2nd, October 9th, 6:30 PM- 8 PM 
  • Sunday: October 4th 9 AM- 10:30 AM

PAYMENT: We charge a $10 training fee per person in order to provide shuttles for training. Payment options are below. You must pay before your first training session in order to participate!

ADVISEMENT: Attendance is STRONGLY recommended for all 4 sessions, as each session builds upon the previous one. We understand students have prior commitments that may influence their ability to attend training, but we ask you to let your coach or an officer know! This is a unique and invaluable training opportunity that you will likely not find elsewhere, so make sure to take full advantage of it!


SMASHKITTENS (BEGINNERS’) TOURNAMENT

We will be concluding beginner lessons with a beginner-only tournament, which will be held on Sunday, October 11th! We highly encourage our beginner lesson students to register for Smashkittens, as it is a valuable opportunity to gain tournament experience in a low-pressure environment. Trophies will be awarded to the winning pair, runner-ups, and third place. In addition, beginner lesson students will be able to sign up for Smashkittens at a discounted entry fee of $10!  General information and the sign-up form can be found on the Smashkittens Tournament website page, as well as in the official announcement email, which will be shared in the next week.

  • Regular entry is priced at $15. If you are participating in both beginner lessons and the Smashkittens tournament, your total will amount to $20 to include the $10 training fee and the $10 tournament entry fee.

COACH:Your coach will be Lin Zhang. She has been a long term member of UABC and has a lot of badminton experience! Feel free to reach out to her during normal practice sessions as well to get more coaching advice.​
